Job Description:

Belle Melodie Music Art School is seeking an experienced and passionate Part-Time Piano Teacher. This role is perfect for a professional who has a profound love for teaching piano to students of various ages and levels. The ideal candidate will have strong piano skills and excel in creating a supportive and motivational environment for students.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging piano lessons for individual students or groups.
• Develop personalized lesson plans to meet each student's learning goals and abilities.
• Guide students in mastering piano techniques and performance skills.
• Prepare students for piano examinations, recitals, and competitions.
• Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching strategies.
• Encourage and foster a love for piano playing and musical exploration.
• Keep detailed records of students' attendance, progress, and evaluations.
• Offer trial sessions for potential students to gauge their readiness for lessons.
• Communicate regularly with parents about students' progress and any concerns.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years piano teaching experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in piano teaching at least equivalent to MTAC Level 9-11 or ABRSM Level 6-8.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with students of various ages.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to inspire students in their piano journey.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for positive interactions with students and their families.
• A degree in music or a related field is preferred, with a major in piano being advantageous.
• Must complete a in-person interview and teaching demonstration as part of the application process.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly rate ranging from $50 to $100, dependent on experience, teaching skills, and the difficulty of the pieces taught.
• Eligibility for medical coverage if teaching more than 10 hours per week, with 80% of expenses covered by the employer.

Work Schedule:

• This is a part-time position with flexible hours tailored to student availability.
• Availability for weekend or evening lessons is preferred.
