Belle Creek Charter School is a Core Knowledge school nestled in the charming community of Belle Creek in Henderson, Colorado. Belle Creek provides its students with a rich and immersive learning experience in kindergarten through eighth grade. In addition, K-3 students are taught using the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is direct, explicit, systematic, and sequential instruction incorporating multi-sensory learning. This instruction aligns with the Science of Reading.
What support does BCCS offer teachers and students?
We provide several levels of support for students and teachers by having grade-level instructional paraprofessionals, a Dean of Students for behavior support and coaching, and a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for mentorship and support. For additional support, we have Gifted & Talented and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Education Coordinators and a Literacy Specialist. Additionally, we have a Special Education team that includes special service providers for Speech and Language, Occupational and Physical Therapy, and a comprehensive mental health team.

Pay Range:
$17.68/hr (entry level - no experience) to $23.03/hr (11 years of experience).

Nature of Work:
Position is split between equally as an instructional paraprofessional and special education paraprofessional. This position will provide support to the classroom teachers to ensure a positive, productive work and classroom environment. Essential functions of this position include providing instructional, resource, behavior management, and clerical support. The position is full-time and will work Monday through Friday for 8 hours a day or 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of college
Two years of experience in an educational setting
Experience with special education students
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
