**Position Overview:**
We are currently seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Department of Transportation (DOT) examinations to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to our patients on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of DOT regulations and guidelines, as well as excellent clinical skills and a commitment to delivering compassionate care.

**Responsibilities:**

• Conduct thorough DOT examinations in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Perform medical evaluations and assessments of drivers' fitness for duty

• Review medical histories and perform physical examinations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed

• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

• Provide education and counseling to drivers regarding health and safety issues

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

• Stay up-to-date on changes in DOT regulations and guidelines

**Qualifications:**

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Georgia

• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a recognized national certifying body

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with specific experience in DOT examinations preferred

• Thorough understanding of DOT regulations and guidelines

• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Flexibility to work PRN hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
