The Bell County District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant III.

Three years clerical experience required. Salary for the position starts at $15.89 per hour ($33,181.00 per year).

General Summary

Performs secretarial and clerical duties for the District Attorney's Office.

Essential Job Requirements

Position requires a well-organized, detail-oriented individual with ability to work well under pressure with flexibility and professionalism. Personable individual, able to interact well with co-workers, County offices, law enforcement agencies, and the general public.

Main duties include the preparation of discovery for pending case files.

Ability to exchange routine information in an appropriate manner requiring good oral and written communication skills, including handling a busy reception desk as needed. Ability to use computer and basic Microsoft Office software programs with strong typing and data entry skills. Criminal background check required. Legal experience a plus.
