Job Summary:

This position's primary responsibilities include promptly and efficiently responding to and processing draw requests and other post-closing tasks required to complete construction transactions.

Primary Duties:

  • Coordinate with Builder, TC, Borrowers and Inspection Company to confirm all Draws (interim/final) comply with Bell Draw Process.
  • Maintain positive and responsive relations with Builder and Borrowers in an order to support longterm/repeat business.
  • Wire draw using particular care to protect against wire fraud.
  • Keep Project Workbook, Banklabs and Signature/Black Knight balanced as Draws are made.
  • Store all required documents in their proper place holders within Encompass – keeping shared drive to a minimum of required documentation.
  • Monitor and work pipelines to ensure that all recurring tasks are completed timely: Receipt of final documentation, status updates and completion tasks.
  • Process modifications, payoffs and builder applications timely.
  • Prepare end of the year 1099 reporting for servicing.
  • Provide customer service assistance as needed.
  • Complete annual updates builder/contractor licensing information.
  • Research and establish license review process as Bell expands into new states.
  • Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
  • Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
  • Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
  • Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Required:

  • One to two years builder/contractor budget review, title closing, title abstracting or mortgage processing experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze project particulars and make risk decisions based upon Bell policy and/or procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directives.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and methods to improve workflow.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in procedure and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to embrace change.
  • Ability to work under high pressure deadlines, knowing cost to company will be significant if mistakes are made or deadlines are not met.
