Reports to: Senior Account Executive, Account Supervisor
Position Description

The Account Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to manage client accounts across the agency. The supervisor will work closely with the Senior Director and or VP on client accounts to execute strategy, manage deliverables and provide guidance for the junior members of the team. In addition, the account supervisor must demonstrate a commitment and ability to increase technical skills, manage and develop staff, monitor and control budgets, and cultivate new client opportunities. A deep understanding of both digital marketing and media relations is essential. They will work in close partnership with both internal teams and client teams to support and execute strategies throughout campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain day-to-day client communications and project support, including workflow management and reporting. Role requires close communication and consultation experience with clients at all levels
  • Direct strategic and tactical support for client and creative teams
  • Help to manage and oversee Account Executives and Coordinators
  • Help manage and direct creative teams on deliverables and translate client direction into thorough, actionable creative briefs and project timelines
  • Share responsibilities for project estimation, billing, budgeting, and profitability management
  • Closely tracks account budgets on a regularly basis and proactively manages necessary budget adjustments
  • Lead client presentations through meeting set-up, presentation of key strategies and selling support throughout
  • Act as point of contact for clients, organize client calls and meetings, and coordinate submission of deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates to internal team and clients on activities and next steps
  • Is the voice of the client in internal discussions and the voice of the agency in external discussions
  • Day-to-day leadership of direct report(s) to ensure account work is focused and prioritized appropriately
  • Assists in the onboarding of new hires and cross-functional team members as the need arises
  • Involved in the development and presentation of campaign reports
  • Focuses on storytelling as it relates to client business goals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field (MBA a plus)
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Communicate with big-picture confidence and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, web reporting platforms and CRMS
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest in the client’s business and brand
  • Demonstrates a comfort level “pushing back” or having difficult conversations where appropriate
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of clients’ industries including notable news and current events
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the advertising industry including trends and best practices
  • Is articulate in front of clients regarding the creative, media and digital strategies being recommended and implemented by the agency
  • Paid media experience, preferably with hands-on experience managing paid search, programmatic, paid social and site direct partnerships
