A Quality Inspector (PCB/PCBAs) job is available with our client in Austin, TX. In this role you will be responsible for the inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB/PCBA inspection required.
Quality Inspector (PCB/PCBAs) Job Duties:
*Inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies.
*Inspection using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and VMMs (Vision Measuring Machine).
*Documentation of inspection activities using electronic information systems, written logs, and labels.
*Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvements of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes.
*Assist with the resolution to internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies.
*Assist in data analysis and reporting of department metrics as required.
*Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
*Other QC duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
*H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. Associate"s degree in a technical field preferred.
*Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB/PCBA inspection required.
*Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
*Experience with microscopic visual inspection.
*IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification.
*Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
*Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
