The Bel-Air Bay Club is preparing for its busiest season, Summer!
We are actively searching for experienced Summer Camp Counselors! Camp Counselors play a vital role in the lives of the kids at Bel-Air Bay Club. BABC Camp opens June 17th until August 16th. This is a full-time, seasonal position from early June through August 16th working Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Training begins early June.

The ideal candidates should have a background and interest in youth activities, athletics, event planning, child development, art and teamwork. They should possess a can-do attitude and must work exceptionally well in a team environment. BABC Camp Counselors will provide a safe, fun, educational and rewarding camp experience for camp members and their families, and guest campers. Essential Functions for Camp Counselors:

• Assist in day-to-day camp activities and responsibilities.
• Check in and check out all campers on a daily basis making sure to account for every child entering and exiting Camp.
• Make sure all campers apply sunscreen before camp starts.
• Make sure all campers adhere to the camp uniform.
• All Counselors must be punctual and arrive at 8:00 am ready to work.
• All counselors are responsible for cleaning up areas used for camp activities.
• All counselors must report any problems, accidents or disciplinary issues concerning parents, campers or counselors to the Camp Director immediately.
• Ensure that each camper receives lunch every day.
• All counselors must adhere to Bel Air Bay Clubs rules, policies and procedures in all areas of the club as described in the employee handbook.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: High School or college degree or currently enrolled in either.

• Experience in a camp setting.
• Athletic experience desired – coaching, playing or both.
• Past experience with children is required.
• Past volunteer or camp counselor work a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.

This is a seasonal, full-time non-exempt, hourly position Monday thru Friday from 8am – 4:00pm beginning in early June through August 16th.

Physical demands and work environment:

• Able to sit, stand, walk and run for many hours during the day.
• Able to bend, lift, and reach over.
• Able to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Able to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk and hear.
• Occasionally lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Satisfactory auditory abilities are required.

Environmental Factors:The employee is exposed to working indoors and outdoors around normal, high and cold temperatures with normal noise levels.

Pay rate: Starting rate $19.00 per hour
