Position Summary:
The Electronics Systems Designer & Estimator works with Project Managers and Sales Professionals to apply the latest integrated electronics to customers’ homes. The new designer will be responsible for designing smart home audio system, smart TV systems, lighting control systems, motorized shading systems, and smart home integration. This position will also be selling electronic systems directly with our clients. This position is a mixture of outside sales and system design, truly the best of both worlds.
Responsibilities:
Ability to read construction drawings, wiring drawings, and manuals
Projection of a professional image of yourself and Bekins
Communication skills to clearly and concisely explain systems to customers – training them in how to use their new products
Ability to create easy to read documentation, budgets, and system designs with software we will teach you how to use
Ability to ask internal and external customers questions to find out exactly what they are wanting to achieve with their smart home electronics system.
Ability to meet with customers and builders in our showrooms and their homes to select electronics for their home
Does not require door-to-door sales
Consistently create positive customer experiences while building relationships with customers
Managing customer expectations from the initial contact throughout the entire sales process
Expertly be able to discuss and educate customers on available Smart Home electronics
Qualifications:
Previous experience with D-Tools and Visio a plus
Experience with Excel preferred
Have an on-going passion for the latest technology
Find fulfillment in providing customers the correct solution for technology
Be proficient in today’s technology (smart phones, smart TV’s, smart home technology).
Consistently have a sense of urgency for customers and your team members.
Strong attention to detail
Naturally exude confidence
Be thorough and consistent in documenting work performed on appropriate forms
Safely travel to worksites – maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and professional manner
Job Type:
Full-time
40-hour work week schedule.
Monday through Friday.
Base salary including spiffs and commissions in excess of $100,000 potential income annually.
Two days in the office for design work and three days selling.
