Host/Server
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Once a week become server for the dining room area
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, coworkers, and management
- Strong guest relations skills to provide exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems for order entry and payment processing
- Knowledge of hotel or food service operations is a plus
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to help out in other areas of the restaurant as needed
- Hospitality-oriented mindset to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
