Behavioral Systems Southwest, Inc. - Phoenix Residential Reentry Center is Hiring a Caseworker - Day Reporting Center Near Los Angeles, CA

Behavioral Systems Southwest, Inc. is a private social services agency, providing reintegration services to the parolee population. We are a Day Reporting Center where participants can begin their community reintegration; obtain necessary legal documents to work, job search, find housing, address alcohol and substance abuse/mental health issues, etc. This position starts on July 1, 2023.

The Case Worker is responsible for monitoring activities of each resident on their caseload, develop individual program plans/goals in conjunction with assessment information and treatment plans.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling and conduct weekly counseling and group sessions, document sessions in case notes, as necessary.
Conduct intake and orientation. Administer risk/needs assessments to offenders.
Refer residents to external community agencies, as necessary.
Recommend changes in programming.
Help verify participation in employment/training/education programs via document, site and telephonic inspections.
Participate in case management plan review, staff meetings.
BSS is a vendor with California Department of Corrections and all staff must pass a background check. Applicants must provide a 3 year DMV report to be submitted with background clearance.
What is Required:
Must possess excellent written, verbal communication skills, along with the ability to be organized and multi-task. Must be able to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background investigation. Must have clear DMV and present a 3 year DMV printout at the time the application is filed.

The State program candidate must possess an Associate of Arts or Sciences degree from a granting institution accredited by WASC or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with the offender or similar population. Some experience may be substituted in lieu of an Associate’s degree.
