Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Program Director in the Opioid Treatment (OTP) Clinic program at Behavioral Health Network!

**NOTICE**

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Opioid Treatment (OTP) Clinic program with the following:

  • Assuming primary responsibility for clinical, administrative, fiscal, and operational management for Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) in conjunction with senior and program leadership teams.
  • Planning, developing, organizing, and directing the operation of the OTP in order to meet its mission and goals as well as the requirements of all federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting bodies.
  • Collaborating with BHN leadership to implement the mission and standards as a vehicle for improving clinical outcomes and individual served and staff satisfaction.
  • Developing annual departmental Performance Improvement Plan to strengthen services and continuum of care among substance abuse treatment services.
  • Providing direct supervision to approximately 5-10 employees, including clinicians, the Nurse Supervisor/Manager, and the Office Supervisor.
  • Overseeing staff relations including recruitment, training of new program staff, completing performance appraisals and corrective actions, and staff professional development & licensing.
  • Engaging in public relations, marketing, advocacy, and referral development activities to promote and strengthen public & state (DPH) perception of quality substance abuse services.
  • Forecasting future departmental and organizational requirements based on healthcare trends.
  • Reviewing psychiatric and programmatic issues pertaining to the provision of methadone services in coordination with the Medical Director.
  • Providing training and implementing clinical models and practices which reflect evidence-based best practice.
  • Leading nursing and clinical treatment teams which ensure interdisciplinary care coordination in meeting individual served, family, payer expectations.
  • Providing clinical consultation & supervision for mental health and nursing staff regarding patient care, behavior and milieu management across the continuum.
  • Monitoring service coordination and caseload management for individuals served.
  • Monitoring the formulation and completion of treatment plans, progress notes, and group notes.
  • Overseeing research and grant opportunities as presented.

BHN/OTP is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals who are addicted to opiates and are experiencing their dysfunctional effects to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle. The OTP program uses evidence-based medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients safely detox from these substances. These protocols are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process.

What are we looking for in a Program Director?

  • Commitment to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration for individuals served (required).
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Addictions, or related field (required).
  • Independent licensure (LMHC, LICSW) (required).
  • Demonstrated and documented experience managing an SUD program (preferred).
  • At least three (3) years of advance practice in clinical work with addicted and dually diagnosed patients (required).
  • At least three (3) years of clinical supervision and/or management experience (required).
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts of addiction treatment (required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills (required).
  • Strong customer service skills (required).
  • Proven creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate others.
