Job Summary
The Counselor will provide counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups in a clinical setting. The Counselor will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing support and guidance to clients.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments of clients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans
Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling services
Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the provision of counseling services
Qualifications
Master's degree in counseling or a related field
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a counselor in the state of Louisiana
Experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of evidence-based counseling practices
Physical Demands
The Counselor may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and may need to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
The Counselor will work in a clinical setting and may be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
