Behavioral Health Connections of Georgia is Hiring a MOBIL Assessor Near Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities:
  • Provides hospital-based crisis management and supportive brief counseling services to patient that present with a primary or secondary behavioral health concern in the emergency rooms and/or inpatient units.
  • Provides consultation, guidance and leadership to patients and staff in the emergency departments.
  • Provides consultation to inpatient patients as referred for evaluation and placement of care recommendations.
  • Assist in the diagnosis, 1013/2013 assessment and ongoing management, risk assessments and placement of patients in the emergency department and inpatient floors.
  • Ensures assigned behavioral health patients have adequate discharge plans for care.
  • Support psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses in their role within the medical model.
  • Maintains working knowledge of regulatory requirements, including TJC, Medicare, Medicaid, State of Georgia, and other payers. Is a knowledgeable leader of programmatic changes in State of Georgia expectations.
  • Completes clinical documentation to meet standards of care and documentation requirements.
  • Special Projects: Duties & Responsibility may include but not limited to:
  • Responsible for being able to perform all aspects of the hospital’s assessment and referral process,
  • Efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls,
  • Knowledge of and communication with referral sources;
  • Providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities and professionals;
  • Making outside referrals, when appropriate; assessing and
  • Assessing and triaging an individual’s mental health and/or chemical dependency status;
  • Making patient safety and level of care recommendations to the physicians(s);
  • Identifying insurance benefits,
  • Communicating patient safety concerns; provision of treatment recommendation,
  • Immediate patient/client disposition
  • Arranging hospital transfer
  • Making outpatient referrals, and/or making connections to other community agencies and resources.
Qualifications:
Preferred 1-year work experience working with Assessment and Referral department in a Behavioral Health Setting.
1-year work experience providing individual, group and family therapy/counseling.
Mobile assessment experience preferred.
EDUCATION

Master’s Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health Or Related Field.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Current license in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Master Social Worker (“LMSW”), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (“LCSW”), Associate Professional Counselor (“APC”) Licensed Professional Counselor (“LPC”), Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Masters level license eligible.

Current CPR, if required by a customer hospital. (“Customer hospital” means the hospital to which BHC is contracted to provide mobile assessment services.)
Must have a valid driver’s license.
