Behavior Builders is Hiring a Behavior Specialist (RBT) Near Jacksonville, FL

This is a position to work with young children with Autism and help them learn better ways to communicate. We also teach them to help regulate their behavior. Behavior Builders services children in the greater Northeast Florida area.

We currently have part- and full-time positions available working with children at one of our 3 clinics (i.e., Argyle Forest / Oakleaf area, North Main Street / River City area, and Ponte Vedra Beach / Palm Valley area). We also provide services to children in their families’ homes, private and public schools, and in the community. Must be willing to travel in the greater Jacksonville area!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a clinic setting, their homes, at schools or in the community.
  • Travel to and from clients’ home and schools
  • Teach communication, social skills, and activities of daily living
  • Provide behavior management
  • Complete daily data collection
  • Attend bi-monthly team meetings
  • Obtain national credential for behavior technicians

Experience Requirements:

  • Required: 1 year working with children
  • Preferred: 12 college credits

Other Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to complete computer trainings from home
  • Ability to complete pre-employment, bi-monthly, and annual on-site trainings
  • Must be willing to complete two background checks (online records search and fingerprints from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.50 per hour
