Position Overview:

The Packaging Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the packaging operations at our facility. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a deep understanding of automated processes related to the labeling and packaging of various cannabis products including flower, concentrates, edibles and prerolls.

Responsibilities:

Automated Process Oversight:

-Supervise and manage all automated processes for labeling and packaging to ensure precision and accuracy

-Implement and maintain best practices for automated packaging systems

Continuous Flow Management:

-Keep the packaging team operating in a continuous flow to meet and exceed company goals and deadlines

-Enforce a one-touch policy for all materials to optimize packaging efficiency and reduce labor costs

Efficient Packaging Protocols:

-Establish and maintain efficient packaging protocols ensuring streamlined and accountable operations by all members of the packaging team

-Implement measures to enhance overall efficiency and minimize downtime

Inventory Management:

-Manage bulk product inventory ensuring accurate tracking and organization

-Collaborate with the fulfillment team to facilitate the accurate transfer of all finished packaged goods to Leaflink via Canix

Issue Resolution:

-Identify and address any bottlenecks or issues that may arise during the packaging process

-Take a hands-on approach to problem solving ensuring minimal disruptions to the packaging workflow

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 2 years experience in a packaging role within the cannabis industry preferred

-In-depth understanding of automated labeling and packaging processes for cannabis products

-Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and guide the packaging team effectively

-Experience in handling and resolving team related challenges

-Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards

-Demonstrated commitment to maintaining efficient packaging protocols and reducing labor costs

-Proven ability to manage continuous flow operations

-Proficiency in managing bulk product inventory and ensuring accurate transfer processes to Leaflink via Canix

-Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly address and resolve issues during the packaging process
