2/21/2024The ACJ Academy Teacher facilitates credit recovery instruction, virtually and in-person, to assigned students requiring high school credit completion in designated disciplines. Instruction is designed and implemented to meet the individual needs and necessary learning experiences of all students.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of credit recovery curricula
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to work with students and families of diverse backgrounds
Understanding of child/adolescent psychology, social and emotional development, and individual learning styles.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Two years of public school district teaching, preferred
High School Credit Recovery Instruction experience, preferred
