Reports to : Director of Nursing
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Educator’s primary function is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the educational program and service for this facility. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing appropriate orientation programs for all newly hired Nursing Department employees.
What will you bring to the job?
Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
Strongly recommended that the individual possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (B.S. in Education acceptable). Active CPR Certification is required.
Certificate/Licenses: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse or LPN.
Work Experience: Two (2) years of professional nursing experience in a long-term care environment. One (1) year education or management experience with direct care staff.
Participation: Participates in education conferences and updates and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to the management of areas of responsibilities.
