·Great facility leadership! We are currently recruiting an experienced Activity Director for our Skilled Nursing facility in Hazleton, PA.

Activity Director responsible for planning and coordinating comprehensive and diverse programs and activities to provide life-enriching opportunities for our long-term care residents. Strengthen community involvement through promotion of volunteerism among residents and members of the community.

Activity Director Key Duties:

·Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents.

·Plan and implement activities. Conduct and lead activities as needed.

·Plan, coordinate, and assist decoration of the facility for unique events, seasons, and holidays.

·Develop a monthly newsletter, solicit resident involvement.

·Arrange transportation for activities outings and regularly scheduled group trips.

·Participate in the Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, Care Plans, Assessments, and other family/ resident meetings.

·Perform other duties as assigned by NHA to ensure smooth operation of the program and to meet residents needs within federal and state regulations.

Activity Director Qualitfications:

·Previous experience in a Recreation/Activities Director or equivalent in long term care required and certification preferred. Memory care dementia experience a plus.

·Activity Director certification of Therapeutic Recreation Specialist credentialling required.
