Bednark Studio Inc. is Hiring a Millwork Sander Near Easton, PA
The Finisher is responsible for three key areas:
- Millwork Sanding
- Department Production
- Systems and Safety
This position is devoted to keeping their assigned elements up to Bednark’s quality standards.
The Sander receives, reviews, and finishes elements based on direction from a Lead Sander. They collaborate with other Department members to safely and efficiently complete the scope of work assigned to them. A Bednark Sander is always solution-oriented.

Millwork Sanding:
The Sander receives, reviews, and finishes elements based on direction from a Lead Sander. They collaborate with other Department members to safely and efficiently complete the scope of work assigned to them. A Bednark Sander is always solution-oriented.
Below is a more detailed description of this work:
Millwork Sanding:
- Receives, reviews and finish sands elements according to technical drawings & reports back to the Lead Sander and/or Department Manager with questions, comments, concerns
- Gathers and tracks all required tools, equipment, and hardware for the appointed projects
- Competent in wood species identification, patch work, putty work, sandpaper grits, orbital sander operation and hand sanding
- Experienced in preparing wood for high quality finishing (sanding, brushing)
- Competent in wood finishing solutions such as varnishes, lacquers, stains, touch up & repair of such finishes.
- Performs at a high level of craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and resourcefulness
- Demonstrates keen attention to detail and thoroughness
- Forecasts and communicates completion timelines of finished elements for a given project(s)
- Ensures the product is up to Bednark standards before passing off to next step in the production
Department Production:
- Observes and demonstrate safe and efficient Sanding practices and tool use.
- Maintains a clean and orderly workspace and bench
- Assists the daily operations of the Finishing team’s assigned tasks and space
- Operates at a high level of professionalism, reliability, punctuality, and awareness
- Responsible for tracking and clocking in/out of POs when starting/completing tasks for each project
- Collaborates in the upkeep of all department-specific tools, machines and consumables
- Leads by example in fostering a positive, solution-oriented teamwork environment
Systems and Safety:
- Conducts clear, productive and professional communications
- Collaborates with team members in replenishing Department consumables and tool maintenance
- Maintains a safe, healthy, and judgment-free working environment
