Bednark Studio Inc. is Hiring a Forklift Operator, Freelance Near New York, NY

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to unload, load, and move bulk materials and finished products within the warehouse. You will also be tasked with identifying damages, reporting shortages or quality deficiencies, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Additionally, you will assist with loading outbound shipments and other project facilitation tasks as needed in the operations departments.

This is a FREELANCE position

Responsibilities:

Safely unload and load bulk materials and store them in designated warehouse locations.
Identify damages, report shortages, or quality deficiencies to management.
Locate and move materials and finished products to different locations within the warehouse as directed.
Transfer materials and finished products between warehouses as required.
Assist with loading outbound shipments as needed.
Support other project facilitation tasks as required in the operations departments.
Monitor and maintain material inventory levels to ensure accuracy.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of recent forklift operating experience.
Valid forklift certification.
Ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 40 to 60 pounds.
Must possess Steel Toe Safety Boots for workplace safety compliance.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards related to forklift operation.
