General Summary: We are looking for a motivated, reliable person with or without dog training experience to join our team. We specialize in behavior modification along with basic obedience. We work one on one with the dogs and you will be taught how to effectively and safely teach dogs with a wide range of backgrounds. We also offer puppy group classes and American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen certification. We use balanced training techniques as well as positive reinforcement. This is a full or part-time position with immediate openings. This position starts at $18/hr as an apprentice and receives commission and tips in addition to the base pay with the potential to make $25 /hr. We also offer health care, vision and dental for our full time employees. The work schedule is Mon-Fri 9 am - 5 pm but there is flexibility to start earlier or later. There is also a group class that is held the second Sat of each month, weather dependent.

- certification through a recognized pet training agency

- 2-5 years of experience holding independent classes

Job Responsibilities:

• Learn principles of balanced training techniques and be able to apply those principles to various types of dogs and dog behaviors
• Be able to thoroughly evaluate a dog for appropriate training programs and establish owner goals
• Maintain contact with owner throughout the training process and make recommendations as needed
• Learn the use of training tools and utilize them effectively
• Prepare and post appropriate training messages on social media
• Prepare and clean training area before and after classes.
• Be able to conduct group classes
• Learn booking software and manage personal schedule
• Help kennel staff and groomers as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
