Beckett Air, a family oriented, North Ridgeville based manufacturer has a full time, night shift Stamping Press Operator position available for a dependable, energetic individual looking to work in a fast-paced environment in light metal assembly. Founded in 1988, Beckett Air began producing high quality/efficiency blower wheels for OEM markets. Today, our skilled workforce delivers more than seven million airflow components annually produced in a modern 130,000 sq. ft. facility utilizing high-speed assembly equipment and work cell technology.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate 150-250T metal stamping presses
• Install and align specified dies in presses
• Adjust ram to proper shut height
• Adjust feeders, straighteners, and decoilers
• Enter process parameters into equipment controllers
• Ensure all guards and misfeed protection devices are in place
• Load coil onto reel and start the strip
• Obtain first piece sample approval of the die
• Adjust press to produce parts in tolerance
• Adjust press to run at proper speed
• Perform all routine maintenance on presses
• Pack parts
• Use calipers and other measurement devices to inspect critical dimensions of parts per documents quality requirements
• Complete production paperwork
• Other duties may be assigned based on business requirements and applicable skills/abilities

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience or demonstrated ability in setting up and operating progressive die presses
• Ability to calculate rate, piece counts, etc.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills

Shifts: 4/10's (Monday - Thursday) with the potential for overtime on Friday's.

Days: 5a - 3:30p

Afternoon: 3:30p - 2a

Compensation: BASED ON EXPERIENCE
