Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate and effective nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
• Perform accurate triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on clinical urgency.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment within the 7 bays and 2 trauma rooms to monitor patient health and prevent complications.
• Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and best practices for patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Louisiana or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, or new graduates.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
