PAYROLL AND ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

THE POSITION

The Construction Accounting position is a rare opportunity for a detail oriented, experienced accounting clerk to be a part of a High-End Residential Design-Build Firm. As Lead Accountant, this role plays a critical role in the Finance Department. The Accounting position is responsible for Monthly Construction Billing, oversight of Bi-Monthly Payroll, and Oversight of AP/AR and management of the Accounting Associate and various other duties as needed within the accounting Department. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Monthly Construction Billings 

· Audit and input of accounts payable invoices

· Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

· Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial files

· Communicate in a professional and friendly manner with vendors and financial institutions

· Make recommendations for creating efficiencies in the accounting and other processes

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting

· Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking)

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar

· Mastery of QuickBooks Desktop

· Knowledge of regulatory requirements for processing regular payroll transactions and quarterly payroll returns

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Excellent communication skills – written and oral

· Proficient with Windows operating system

· Proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
