- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the facility's infrastructure, equipment, and systems are in optimal working condition.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high performance standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including cost estimation, budget forecasting, and expense control, to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for maintenance activities, negotiating contracts and agreements when necessary.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of breakdowns.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations promptly, coordinating with relevant parties to resolve issues efficiently.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in maintenance management.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living facility.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations related to facility maintenance.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
