Career Coach:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Career Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate must be committed to providing exceptional vocational supports to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a day program setting or community-based work or volunteer placement. In this role the career coach will provide necessary support to enable individuals to acquire and maintain community-based employment in local businesses and industries. We are looking for a caring and dynamic team member, who is eager to lead, teach skills aimed at independence, job readiness and community inclusion and provide a bridge between the individual and the community for sustained success.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one career counseling and training sessions with individuals to assess their skills, interests, and goals

- Develop personalized career plans based on individuals needs and aspirations

- Provide guidance on job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation

-Collaborate with employers to identify and develop job opportunities and facilitate job placements

-Provide ongoing support and mentoring to individuals throughout their career journey including on the job coaching and developing positive relations between the individual, coworkers and the employer.

-Assist individuals to access assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance their employment skills.

-Stay up-to-date on employment labor laws and regulations to provide accurate information to clients

- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and vocational rehabilitation counselors, to ensure comprehensive support to meet individuals needs

Experience in vocational rehabilitation or Supported Employment programs preferred. Experience job coaching preferred. Strong time management and organizational skills. All applicants must be able to become First Aid, CPR, MAP and Safety Care certified. A valid driver's license is mandatory. The candidate must be willing to drive their own or company vehicles to work/volunteer sites.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
