Revenue Accountant

Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center is located in Breckenridge, Colorado - the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Nestled between the mountain and Main Street, at Beaver Run you're just a few steps away from the ski slopes in the winter and the hiking trails in the summer. With 40,000 square feet of conference and meeting spaces, Beaver Run is the largest conference center in Breckenridge with the most scenic views and most professional team, services and amenities.

What You'll Do:

The Accountant I position is part of our finance and accounting department and will be responsible for performing multiple accounting activities related to the receipt of money. This includes computing and recording transactions into the resort accounting system, verifying/auditing transactions in order to ensure accuracy, and communicating directly with departments to identify needs and resolve discrepancies. This position is also responsible for the billing and collection of wholesale travel agents while working with internal departments to monitor and follow-up on non-payment and other irregularities.

This role will often work independently to follow-up on duties and the ideal candidate will have an understanding of relevant computer programs (including Microsoft office), the ability to organize and prioritize with attention to accuracy and detail, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain good working relationships and function as a team player. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. This position is located on premises in Breckenridge, CO.

Position starts at $24.00/hr DOE

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cash transactions and audits
  • Recording all payments into company systems
  • Daily reconciliation of Hotels revenue
  • Accurately document transactions for annual audits and investigate any discrepancies or disputes
  • Communicate both internally and externally in regards to revenue transactions

What You'll Bring:

  • 1 years AP/AR or other accounting experience - preferred
  • 1 years hotel accounting experience - preferred
  • 1 years cash handling experience - preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel - preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English - required
