Description

The Production Engineering Manager will be responsible for production’s Safety, Quality, OEE, productivity, and OTD while directing, supervising, and managing the Machine Operators and Mechanics to support production needs in both setup and repair for accuracy and efficiency.

• Be responsible for production’s Safety, Quality, OEE, productivity, and OTD.
• Direct, supervise, and manage the Machine Operator and Mechanic team to support production’s needs in both setup and repair processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop continuous training program (cross-training) for both Machine Operator and Mechanic team to improve their skills/knowledge.
• Review current operation process and propose necessary changes to improve efficiency.
• Review daily operation issues including production, setup, equipment, and recommend potential reliable solutions.
• Maintain production’s tooling/equipment inventory properly and correctly.
• Oversee the production schedule daily and notify Scheduler and production if there is any future shortage of equipment.
• Develop and manage continuous improvement processes to minimize downtime and improve efficiency in both setup and production.
• Develop the flow diagram for both production and equipment to maximize productivity, as necessary.
• Review the specification of the current product and recommend necessary changes to improve the flow, as needed.
• Work with Engineering Inventory Control Specialist to search and contact manufacture/vendor for necessary quote of required tooling and/or equipment for new and/or replacement.
• Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
• Assist Program Director as needed.
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Program Director.

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out, equipment door safety interlock switches, tripping hazards, and grounded pumps to avoid unnecessary incidents/accidents.
• Understand and following the Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), 5S, and policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and products free of quality issues.

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 to 10 years of experience is preferred.
• Five years of experience managing a large group in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.
• Previous experience leading and transforming operations through CI activities.

• Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 lbs.
• Walking or standing for long period of time.
• Squatting, bending, or kneeing.
