Lead Intake Clinician

Full-Time Afternoons/Evenings

The Lead Intake Clinician obtains the initial clinical phone information which is communicated to the physician on call to determine a final decision regarding an admission. The Lead Clinician is responsible for supervising the Intake Department staff in the absence of the Director. The Lead Clinician may also schedule a clinical evaluation for a client and contact the physician to determine the appropriate level of care: inpatient, day treatment or outpatient care. He/she will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources. He/she also provides information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

• Associates degree in nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license or
• Masters degree in social work with Michigan LMSW
• At least two (2) years of Intake & Assessment experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Current UHS employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, evaluation, etc.) to be considered for internal transfer.
