Beaufort County is Hiring a Library Specialist Near Beaufort, SC
SENIOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT: Performs more senior Library support functions and circulation desk duties. Responsibilities include: providing customer service to patrons; collecting overdue fines and fees; placing requests for materials that are not currently available; submitting applications for library cards; checking in materials and shelving; and attaching barcodes, detection devices, or appropriate labels.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Three (3) years of related library and customer services work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current computer skills, especially Word and Excel
- Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
SALARY: $15.94 per hour
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. EOE.
