Responsibilities:
Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and practical exercises, to engage students and reinforce key concepts.
Demonstrate proper painting tools and equipment usage, emphasizing safety precautions and industry best practices.
Assess student comprehension and skill development through quizzes, exams, practical assessments, and painting projects, providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to review and revise curriculum materials, develop lesson plans, and implement instructional innovations.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in painting materials, techniques, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with the NCCER painting curriculum and related instructional resources preferred, but not required.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey painting concepts and techniques to students.
Previous experience teaching or training painting apprentices preferred.
Painting certification or licensure required.
Dedication to creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, creativity, and skill development.
