Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist our veterinary staff in providing high-quality care to our animal patients.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Provide compassionate care and handling of animals
- Perform basic animal care tasks such as feeding, grooming, and exercising
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
- Assist with preparation of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing

-Able to lift at least 50#.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of aseptic technique in a veterinary setting
- Experience in pet care and handling
- Ability to work in a kennel environment
- Proficiency in dog handling and animal restraint techniques
- Understanding of animal physiology and basic animal care principles

-The above qualifications are desired, we are willing to train the right person.

-Knowledge of Small and Large animals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
