Bear Mountain Healthcare is Hiring a Nurse Supervisor RN/LPN Weekends 7P to 7A Near Reading, MA

Bear Mountain at Reading is actively looking to hire a motivated and experienced Nursing Supervisor for our Long Term Care Facility in Reading, MA. We pride ourselves in the level of professionalism our team exhibits every day, as we strive to provide the best possible care and our nursing team is vital in our resident’s quality of care.

The primary purpose of a Nursing Supervisor is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Specific Requirements

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.

Be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.

Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.

Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

Be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

Education

Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

Must have an unecumbered active license in the state of MA. RN Preferred

Experience

One (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility preferred.

Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is preferred.
