Summary

CSG Investments, Inc. (CSG) is a global buy-and-hold institution headquartered in Plano, TX. CSG provides flexible and creative capital solutions for all types of commercial and industrial customers. CSG is an affiliate of Beal Bank and Beal Bank USA, both multi-billion-dollar financial institutions. CSG seeks to make direct investments in companies across multiple sectors.

CSG is searching for a Managing Director, Commercial Real Estate Lending who will source and originate office, mixed-use, retail, multi-family, industrial and other real estate transactions. This position is relationship based, focused on sourcing and presenting new deal opportunities to CSG. The Managing Director will also be responsible for leading the effort to generate and/or underwrite, structure and close lending opportunities, focused on real estate purchases of loans and/or bonds.

The position is on-site in our Plano, TX headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Source and originate real estate transactions for CSG
  • Deliver actionable, proprietary flow of potential deals for investment consideration
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources
  • Manage investment teams on multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Analyze, perform due diligence, structure, document, negotiate and close deals
  • Manage deal process and coordinate interactions with counterparties, consultants, advisors, lawyers and other parties
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior management and committee review
  • Present transactions to senior management and loan committee for review and approval
  • In coordination with other internal groups, monitor existing investments/loans
  • Interact with the organization’s senior management team, working in concert towards achieving the company’s overall goals
  • Train and develop Directors, Vice Presidents, Associates and Analysts
  • As required, participate in projects for other areas of the organization

Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):

  • 10 years of investment experience in real estate transactions with a proven track record
  • Strong, deep and established network of existing contacts with relevant deal sources
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or a quantitative-oriented field
  • Background in construction and/or civil or structural engineering desired
  • Experience with a transactional law firm, private investor, opportunity fund, investment bank or other deal-oriented investment organization a plus
  • A self-starter with good management, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good research and quantitative skills, able to come to conclusions in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Proactive, performance driven and adaptable
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and succinctly
  • Highly organized and detailed with excellent financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
