Beacon of Hope Behavioral Consulting is currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Behavior Technician to join our team. As a new and growing company, we provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Position: Certified Behavior Technician
Location/s:
1.) Seattle, WA: Monday through Friday 8:45am to 12:30pm
2.) Seattle, WA: Monday through Friday 9am-12pm & Mon., Tues., Fri. 1pm -3pm
3.) Kirkland, WA: Wednesdays 2pm - 4:30pm, Thursdays & Fridays 3:30pm - 6:30pm
4.) Everett, WA: Monday through Friday Mornings, Afternoons, & Evenings TBD
Employment Type: Full-time & Part-time work available
Compensation: $26-30/hour (based on experience)
Job Responsibilities:
Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy sessions to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community
Collect data on client progress and behavior during sessions
Assist in the implementation of behavior support plans to decrease challenging behaviors( physical aggression, verbal aggression, tantrums, self-injury, etc.)
Teach clients appropriate social, communication, and life skills
Collaborate with the BCBA to ensure treatment goals are being met
Maintain accurate, detailed records of client sessions and progress in daily notes
Provide feedback and support to clients' families and caregivers
Qualifications:
Hold a current certification as a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) is highly preferred.
- Or willing to obtain before starting work.
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field. Current college student's are encouraged to apply!
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel to various locations for client sessions.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in helping others.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
