Beacon Mental Health is Hiring a Director of Adult Community Services Near Kansas, MO

POSITION SUMMARY 
Ensures supervision and management of all Adult CPRP (Community Psych Rehab) staff and providers of community support services and psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) program services for adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and or/substance use disorders. Ensures supervision and management of Employment Services Department and Adult Housing. Ensures that Disease management (DM) population have appropriate outreach efforts. Oversees and ensures management of Substance Use and Justice Involved Services, including treatment courts. Oversees integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders program. Assists in maintaining agency and provider network clinical/regulatory compliance for accrediting/licensing/funding. Evaluates and provides education opportunities to clinical staff and providers as indicated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Serves as liaison with Supported Community Living Services (SCLS) and DMH to ensure funded housing programs are in compliance with policy and regulations. Oversees housing budget and utilization of SCLS funding.
• Provides clinical supervision and oversight of direct reports.
• Coordinates quarterly meetings for all community support teams to address needed operational and training issues, as well as education regarding policy changes, form changes, and opportunity for feedback and team cohesiveness.
• Continually assesses where gaps in service may be in providing services for adult consumers. Develops and implements current and new service programs within budget constraints.
• Acts as liaison between Healthcare Home (HCH) team and community support services teams, providing ongoing education and training to community support teams regarding their role as wellness coaches. 
• In coordination with QI Director assists with quality assurance and compliance oversight of both agency and provider CPRP programs (to include PSR programs) by conducting documented periodic sample review of client records (at least quarterly); monitoring, as applicable, any plans of correction developed as a result of above reviews; and providing compliance related training and technical assistance, as indicated, to staff and providers.
• Ensures evidence-based programs of Integrated Treatment for co-occurring disorders and Individual Placements and Supports are adhered to according to the fidelity model.
• Ensures appropriate outreach to DM population as identified by DMH. 
• Participates in quarterly PSR meetings with provider PSR teams to discuss policy changes/implementation of new programming or service delivery, and problem solving.
• Provides oversight and supervision of SUD Services and Justice involved services; CSTAR, Treatment Courts and SOR. 
• Provides oversight to problematic and/or crisis situations to ensure best practices and policies and procedures are being followed, while also providing individual development needs. 
• Assists in preparation, in coordination with QI Director for DMH/Medicaid audit and recertification reviews and CARF accreditation. 
• Oversees and maintains compliance with all applicable licensures, certification and/or accreditation requirements, agency policies and procedures. 
• Ensures compliance with agency productivity standards for each assigned employee and/or team. 
• Oversees hiring, training and supervising CPRP Housing and Employment Services (ES) staff and supports CPRP Manager/Supervisor and ES Manager. Completes annual performance evaluations in accordance with agency policy.
• Reviews and approves employee time, expense reports, and other agency paperwork in accordance with agency policy and timelines.
• Provides input for the preparation of the annual CPRP, PSR, housing, Employment Services, and SUD Services operating budget and oversees the fiscal operation of both programs. Monitor budget and identify variances in budget and recommendations based on variances.
• Acts as agency liaison at community meetings related to agency programs.
• Participates in implementation of agency technology programs and/or systems and maintain knowledge to use them effectively and in training of CPRP/ES staff and contracted workforce.
• Maintains a positive image of the Agency, demonstrating professionalism and integrity interfacing with resources and community contracts outside of the agency.
• Participates as an active member of Executive Team.
• Serves as a member of the Assessment and Crisis Team.
• Participates and provides leadership in agency committees as needed. 
• Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Education/Certifications:
• Master’s Degree required
• Clinical Licensure (e.g. LCSW) required
• CPR/First Aid Certification required
• Valid driver’s license plus minimum state-mandated auto insurance required. 
Experience Required:
• 3 years of position-related experience required
• 5 years of position-related experience preferred. 
Required Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
• Prior mental health and/or substance use knowledge required. 
• Strong knowledge of clinical best practices in behavioral health.
• Prior healthcare technology software experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present healthcare information in an understandable manner to both individuals and groups as needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
• The ability to develop and present various presentations, trainings, and programs on various clinical topics.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally state-wide or nationally for training, seminars, and presentations.
