SUMMARY

Responsible for the management of an assigned caseload of clientele for individual, family and group therapy. This will be done as a member of, and in coordination with the Residential Treatment Team by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a Master's Degree in a Human Service related field
  • License eligible preferred. Such as Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), National Certified Counselor (NCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and/or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Duties the employee is required to perform that have a major impact on the delivery of services to our clientele:

  • Documentation of important information and data in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicating necessary information to other employees.
  • Working as a member of a team including being supportive and friendly to employees, treating others with respect, keeping personal problems away from work, splitting duties equally amongst co-workers, assisting co-workers when requested and welcoming new employees, giving them extra support and encouragement.
  • Attending and completing scheduled required annual training.
  • Following through on directives given to him/her by their supervisor or by other designated administrative leaders within the agency.
  • Knowing and functioning within the framework of the individual's Treatment Plan.
  • Developing, updating, maintaining and distributing completed tracking sheets.
  • Participating in the on-call system which includes assisting at other programs when needed, taking call offs, assigning employees to areas to provide adequate coverage, recording incidents and if necessary to provide direct care supervision themselves.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the client's program in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Using individual/family/group therapy when appropriate as a means of treatment as required in the individuals treatment plan.
  • Preparing interagency reports and reviews, and making recommendations with regard to treatment planning on clients.
  • Complete progress notes or dictations on all therapy sessions (individual, group, or family) within 24 hours of the sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with the Program's Manager or Treatment Coordinator any issues or concerns regarding clients on the caseload
  • Provide training, directive, consultation services, and supervision to employees working in the program.
  • Provide onsite guidance to employees regarding implementation of interventions i.e. function primarily as direct hands-on practitioners vs consultant or treatment/program developers
  • Attend clinical supervision sessions with a member of the psychological department.
  • Participate in Team Review meetings and Master Treatment Team/ISPT meetings for assigned clients as scheduled.
  • Complete Functional Behavior Assessments when requested. Provide precise applied behavioral analysis that goes beyond typical contingency management interventions as needed.
  • Provide hands-on training and practice opportunities for parents, guardians and caretakers in transferable behavioral techniques
  • Ensuring that needed materials (handouts, outlines, and syllabus) are available for therapy and training sessions.
  • Ensuring the safety of individuals through appropriate assessments.
