SUMMARY
The staff is responsible for working with the Lead Nurse and Director of Nursing in the delivery of nursing care and overseeing all health concerns within the assigned programs by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to solve practical clinical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. Must be able to perform SCM training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to individuals who have mild to moderate intellectual developmental disabilities autistic and may have severe behavior disorders and individuals who have the potential to be hiv-positive, have hepatitis or other communicable diseases. Employment may also require exposure to clients who have a mental health diagnosis which might include: attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, borderline personality disorder, borderline intellectual functioning, depression, bipolar disorder to name a few. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
This position requires participation in ongoing mandatory trainings while employed. Training requirements are detailed in the Training Plan which is maintained by the Human Resources Department. Along with their supervisor, each staff person is responsible for reviewing the Training Matrix to determine individual training requirements and completing those requirements in a timely manner.
