Hospital Parking Lot Attendant

Job Overview

At Beacon Hill Hospitality, we look for people who want to help others not because it's their job, but because it's their nature. At this healthcare facility, the Lot Attendant is responsible for providing friendly proactive service to the employees of the hospital who park in the assigned lot. The Lot Attendant will greet everyone with a warm welcome, direct them to open spaces and stack park employee vehicles when the lot becomes full.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Lot Attendant is responsible for providing an exceptional parking experience for each employee of the hospital. This list is intended to be an outline of expected duties and responsibilities and may be added to at any time.

  • Greets and welcomes employees, facilitating their access to parking, guiding them to open spaces.
  • Maintaining an accurate count of the available lot space and putting out appropriate signage if full
  • Ensure vehicles entering lot have the appropriate permit upon entry
  • When the lot fills, safely stack parking employee's vehicles
  • Ensures the premises are neat and clean of debris at all times, including all sidewalk areas adjoining the facilities.
  • Acts as the ever-vigilant eyes and ears of the operation -alerting management to any security or maintenance concerns promptly
  • Assists with the valet parking operation as needed

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Possesses exceptional customer service skills - maintains a warm, friendly and professional demeanor when working with other employees, patients and visitors.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively both verbally and on paper
  • Ability to Solve Problems, but knows when to ask for input and help.
  • At least one year related experience preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Employees are regularly required to run, stand, walk and sit
  • Must be able to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) for the duration of their shift
  • Must be able to push patients in wheelchairs (100 - 350 pounds)
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally

Work Environment

As it is an outdoor role, the employee may be subjected to the weather conditions of the time.
