Beacon Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Peer Recovery Specialist. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will act as a vital member of our organization, providing support and guidance to individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) who are on the path to recovery. You will utilize your personal experience with recovery to inspire and empower others, helping them navigate challenges they may face during their journey. You will be responsible for building strong relationships, providing support, and assisting with the development of recovery plans.
Applicants must hold a NYS Certified Peer Recovery Advocate (CRPA) or a CRPA-P and have knowledge of local and regional recovery resources/services and show knowledge of substance use disorder/human services field. Must have reliable transportation and good communication/written skills. Competitive Salary Rates. This is an in office position.
