Beachy Bean Coffee Co. is looking for a skilled Lead Barista to join our team. As the Lead Barista, you will be responsible for the overall running of our coffee bar. You will report to the Store Manager and Director of Coffee, and will be responsible for fulfilling all aspects of the coffee bar in accordance with the vision and mission of Beachy Bean Coffee Co.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and determine their beverage interests and needs
• Educate customers about the drinks menu and answer their questions
• Prepare and sell coffee/tea drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks such as espresso, latte, cappuccino, matcha, etc.
• Attract new customers and define new and expanded services and products to generate revenue
• Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and menu items
• Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, and maintaining & improving the appearance of the store and brew bar
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications, and maintaining personal networks
• Enhance coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and maneuver 150 pounds

• 3 years of experience in specialty coffee and/or the coffee industry preferred
• Focused perspective on what a high-functioning coffee bar looks like and how to execute that perspective
• Passion for small business and quality products
• Model barista in terms of bar skills, customer service, and enthusiasm to share knowledge
• Detail-oriented
• Basic or previous POS knowledge is a plus, previous management experience is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
