Optician – Fashion Specialist

Looking for an experienced, friendly full-time/part-time Optician with a focus on high end quality and fashion, for a wonderful, private optometric practice located in New Smyrna Beach, FL.. The ideal candidate would have the following knowledge and skills:

• Motivated, professional, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker
• Knowledgeable of high-end eyewear, and lens options
• Good communication skills with a friendly personality.
• Experience with various insurance and vision plans
• Experience in interfacing with lens labs, frames ordering, inventory, etc.
• Basic computer skills such as data entry, MS Office, etc.

Duties will include;

• Helping patients select eyeglasses given knowledge of their insurance contributions
• Taking accurate frame and lens measurements
• Ordering the selected glasses and contacts
• Dispensing and adjusting eyewear
• Insurance and Benefit explanation
• Creating an exceptional customer experience
• Assisting the optometrist as needed

Our Office hours are M-F 8:30 - 5:00. Our office is conveniently located in a safe, clean, medical/profession office in New Smyrna Beach. Salary starts at $18 plus Quarterly Sales Bonus. Benefits include holiday pay, retirement plan. Job Type: Full-time
