Location: Paulsboro, NJ Preferred (Other Locations Considered-Utah, Fresno, Ca or Lakeland, FL) The Safety Manager will be responsible for multiple sites. Must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. Instruct and train operations leaders in Aramsco safety policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards at their site. Work to identify best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into our processes to continuously improve the safety landscape. The Safety Manager will possess excellent safety program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic knowledge and be able demonstrate this expertise when working with Operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy. • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Aramsco Policies. • Measure sites’ performance against published requirements in Warehouse Policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies. • Analyze warehouse metrics and review incidents weekly and identify monthly incident trends to discover to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest. • Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury at other FCs. • Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training. • Ability to travel to sites as needed to complete job duties. • Must be flexible to cover various shift schedules. • Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations. • Create Safety dashboard reporting metrics and publish to leadership team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful Excellent analytical and Organization skills Certified Safety Manager or Safety Management Specialist Certification preferred. Qualifications/ Skills Manages professional associates and/or supervisors. Is accountable for the performance and results of a team. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan; receives moderate guidance from manager. Provides subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues and/or customers. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas. Integrates industry best practices in own area to the achieve of objectives. Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges. Identifies and resolves moderately complex business problems. Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume and timeliness of objectives. Guided by department policies, resource requirements, budgets and the business plan. Guides, influences and persuades others internally and/or externally.
