Description

We are seeking an experienced full-time On-Site Maintenance Technician located in Glendora, CA. If you are great with your hands, experienced in building maintenance or custodial responsibilities and are committed to the task at hand this position will offer career advancement.

Reports to: Regional Property Supervisor

Position Type: Full-Time/ Non-Exempt

Location: Glendora, CA

Number of Units: 116 units (3 Properties)

Pay Range: $23 to $25 Per Hour

 Unit Size: 1 Bedroom (Discounted Rent Pay: $1082.50) 

The Essential Functions for this Position are as follows:

  • Maintain professionalism at all times with co-workers, residents, and vendors.
  • Maintain company standards with respect to cleanliness, community appearance and customer service.
  • Contribute to the achievement of occupancy goals by cleaning vacant apartments and common areas daily and reporting any maintenance repairs as required.
  • Responsible for the maintenance upkeep of various community amenities as assigned by the Community Manager.
  • Clean resident amenities, lobbies, elevators, and common areas.
  • Pick up loose mail, trash, debris, and disposing of it appropriately.
  • Develops and maintains a high level of skill and an eye for detail in all maintenance activities.
  • Perform general maintenance as directed including plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, hazardous material abatement, apartment turn-over, and appliance repairs in accordance with company standards, and in conjunction with management staff.
  • Directs the daily work orders of apartments and aids in the achievement of high-quality company standards.
  • Other duties assigned.

Requirements

 RequirementsSkills required to complete this job include but are not limited to the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • High Sense of urgency while maintaining high quality standards.
  • At least 1 year of residential apartment maintenance experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the following: Electrical , Carpentry/wood, Plumbing, Tile work, and installing water lines
  • Trade certifications are a plus.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must have basic set of hand tools and reliable transportation with a truck or work van.
  • Driver's License, Pre-employment background check, DMV record search and drug screening required.

May be required to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds; subjected to mechanical/electrical/chemical hazards; work outdoors in a wide disparity of environmental conditions; manipulate hand tools while exerting moderate physical strength or while in cramped/strained positions; exposed to dust/fumes; wear protective clothing; work irregular hours.
