Beach Eye Care is looking for a full time Optometric Technician that will specialize in Contact Lens Sales. We have five locations: First Colonial Road, Holland Road, Red Mill area, Cedar Road, and Kemps River Drive. Patient service is a top priority! We will train the right candidate to ensure that you will be productive in the department. Beach Eye Care offers a competitive salary, commissions, and benefits package. We are looking for someone that has some customer service experience and the desire to learn and grow in the Contact Lens Department! Experience working in Optometry/Ophthalmology is a plus! Requirements

• Demonstrates courtesy, compassion, and respect to others in adherence of the Beach Eye Care philosophy and policy for promoting a positive work and customer environment.
• Exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Abides by all HIPPA laws and regulations and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Reviews patients chart for confirmation of physician's orders and follows written or/and verbal protocols and instructions.
• Fitting Contacts: select appropriate contact lens based on patient's visual needs.
• Teaches patients how to insert and remove contact lenses.
• Orders and dispenses contact lenses.
• Keep contact lenses, supplies, and solutions stocked and storage rooms neat and orderly.
• Meet with contact lens representatives and attend required meetings and in-services.
• Answer and trouble shoot email, phone calls, and text messages regarding contact lens inquiries.
• Sales of annual supplies, reaching set goals, explaining rebates.
• Presents contact lens fees to patients when indicated, obtains authorizations from insurance companies if indicated.
• Communicates equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to appropriate supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must exhibit courteous communication skills and ability to work well with others, exercising good judgment in performance of job duties.
• Presents self in a positive and professional manner as reflected by personal attire and etiquette.
• Demonstrates commitment to flexibility in schedule when necessary to ensure patient care.

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Hourly rate: $12 - $15 per hour contact lens sales commissions!
