Position Summary:

Our Retail Sales Outfitters are integral parts of the Beach Bum Outdoors team! They create a fun shopping experience for our customers and assist them in finding merchandise and purchasing products in a store. Their duties include ensuring the store is clean and organized, appropriately stocked with merchandise and assisting customers as needed, answering questions, education them on our merchandise and services and performing transactions like sales and returns.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers when they walk through the door
• Building rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
• Ringing up sales and processes returns and exchanges
• Inviting customers to search the company’s website for coupons and other ways to save money, to follow us on social media
• Inviting the customer to join a loyalty program and educating them on the benefits
• Assisting in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
• Collaborating with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times
• Rigging new fishing equipment with reels and line

Retail Sales Outfitter salary expectations:

Our Retail Sales Outfitters hourly salary range is between $14-16, based on experience, plus commission. Salary may depend on level of work experience.

This position may also be eligible for additional benefits, including:

It is estimated that this position will work a regular work schedule, but may be required to work additional hours during busy tourism / holiday seasons. This position will be based primarily out of the Gulf Shores Location, but may likely require occasional trips to our Foley Outlet & Distribution Center. It is not estimated that this position will require much overnight travel. However, occasional travel may be required for events and training.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
• Knows effective ways to market products and services and learns about new offerings quickly
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• At least 1-3 years of sales representative experience is preferred
• Knowledge of saltwater fishing and equipment is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
