Our client is a privately held, Philadelphia-based company that has been a meat & poultry purveyor for over 100 years.As a meat distributor, they serve the Mid-Atlantic region by offering boxed beef, poultry, pork, and provisions to retail food and meat markets and supermarkets. Additionally, they are a sandwich steak manufacturer, offering beef and chicken sandwich steaks worldwide.We are assisting by identifying and screening future employees to join their Retail/Supermarket Sales Team within the Retail & Wholesale Meat Division.Position Description:As a Meat & Poultry Salesperson, you will represent our client’s food line of proteins including beef, chicken, and porkto retail customers including supermarkets, meat markets, and regional distributors.Responsibilities:

• Growth in new accounts:Identify, prospect, and close new customer accounts
• Account growth:Execute existing customer satisfaction and expansion sales calls
• Industry knowledge:Product line additions, areas to increase sales and customer satisfaction. Where appropriate, provide competitive analysis.
• Communication:Establish and maintain open communication company, management, coworkers, and clients.

• 3 years of sales experience. Meat/Poultry department experience is best
• Meat industry sales and/or operations background preferred
