Now hiring engaging, organized, and patient Event Support Staff to represent Meta at NRF 2024: Retail's Big Show in NYC, where retailers of all kinds come together to hear from the biggest changemakers, experience the latest innovations, and make the relationships that matter most! In this role, you will help to create a memorable experience for event attendees where Meta is showcasing their innovative and industry-leading technology!

You must have full availability to work the event from Sunday January 14th - Tuesday January 16th, 8am-5pm each day at the Jacob K. Javits Conference Center in NYC.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide a best-in-class experience for event attendees navigating throughout our client’s immersive footprint by greeting and directing attendees, line management, handing out promotional items, answering questions, and scanning attendee badges.
• Assist in light set-up, staging, and maintaining the cleanliness of the event space.
• Other duties as assigned by management & client.

WHAT YOU NEED

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in customer service and/or event work
• Familiarity with technology is highly preferred

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong interpersonal communication – written & verbal
• Engaging personality; comfortable consistently initiating and maintaining conversations with a diverse audience
• Results- and detail-oriented
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Able to show patience when communicating with team members, the client, and event attendees
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Able to exhibit a positive and professional demeanor at all times
• Flexible availability including nights & weekends as events require

While performing the duties of this job, employees are required to:

• Regularly talk, sit, stand, walk, and bend over, repetitive use of hands/arms, repetitive use of legs and grasp
• Able to consistently remain on feet for long periods of time (5 hours)
• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation
