BDA Consulting is Hiring a Painter Near Springfield, MO
We are seeking an experienced Painter to perform interior and exterior painting work across our apartment community. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in painting along with sheetrock repair and finishing abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, patching holes/cracks, removing old paint/wallpaper, etc.
- Skilled in sheetrock repair including taping, mudding, sanding and finishing sheetrock to a smooth surface ready for painting
- Apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets and other surfaces
- Able to properly use brushes, rollers, sprayers and other painting equipment
- Clean up after projects by properly disposing of materials, coverings floors, etc.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols
- May be required to complete basic maintenance tasks such as caulking or drywall repair
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a professional painter, preferably in multi-family residential settings
- Experience painting cabinets preferred
- Proven skills in sheetrock finishing, repairing drywall, drywall texture and preparing surfaces for a smooth paint finish
- Knowledge of different paints, stains, finishes and their proper application techniques
- Ability to ensure proper ventilation and protection of surfaces not being painted
- Must be able to erect scaffolding, extensions ladders and climb to heights
- Strong attention to detail to produce high quality finished product
- Possesses valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between properties
- Capability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces when needed
